Härkingen, Switzerland, 2021/12/13 – One year ago, the RONAL GROUP was the first company in the world to launch a carbon-neutral wheel. The RONAL R70-blue is now also available in the size 9.0×18 inches and for additional models.
RONAL R70-blue is an innovative, holistically sustainable product: The wheel is manufactured in Germany using 100% green electricity and consists of mostly recycled aluminum. Emissions that cannot be avoided in the production process are completely compensated for with the help of Gold Standard certified projects. The projects supported by the RONAL GROUP are currently located in Brazil (Ceará Renewable Energy Project) and Laos (Terraclear – clean water access for families).
The RONAL R70-blue, with a Product Carbon Footprint certified by TÜV Rheinland, convinces in terms of its design thanks to its sporty look and ten striking, slightly offset spokes. In the horn area, the turbine-like contour makes for an optical rotation effect, lending the wheel an even greater dynamic. The undercut process has also optimized its weight.
The carbon neutral wheel is now available in 9.0×18 inch versions in both Orbit grey and Platinum silver surface finishes with a 5-hole connection for the Tesla Model 3, BMW 3 Series Hybrid and BMW X3, Mercedes E-Class Hybrid and S-Class, as well as the Toyota RAV4. Combined with low-resistance tires, the rolling resistance can also be minimized, thus reducing fuel consumption.
An additional size and surface finish are planned for the RONAL R70-blue for spring 2022.
